My worry is when "they" ruin a collection. Starting with my first trip to the World I started collecting baseballs with the year of the trip and I had an awesome display. I even used them to remember past trips. Then they discontinued them and the run ended on a trip. Now they are back and I'm just grumpy about it since I can't make a true run since there were trips when the balls didn't exist. I loved those balls. They were cheap, no other adult really collected them and they were tied to memories. - Cubs 2025 Central Champs
Not since the Eternals have I had this level of excitement for a Marvel movie. And that's super sad since we just had a new level of excitement with the big screen return of foul mouthed Marvel messiah and his short Canadian pal. But it feels like we lost the excitement even with the sightings of Hulk Solo. Sadly I think the not Suicide Squad will get the same sort of reception until we get to see Reedalorian and his family's full story and the return of the real Marvel savior RDJ. - Welcome to Level Seven Cofounder
I’m a little confused with why now with online events. Professionally I work in a world with a lot of webinars and I know that many are burnt out on the format. Many I talk to are willing to watch a stream but they prefer the ability to watch when the want. And D23 didn’t archive this. I watched via YouTube from someone else’s channel later since there was no library holding the recording. During COVID when they did these they at least offered multiple view times or day long windows. But I had no interest in tying myself down and watching on a computer since these are not always easy to project to the TV, so I can watch and not eat a turkey leg. Disney seemed to move away from online programming as during COVID the Disney Institute was offering their programming at an affordable price online with even cheap microcredentials. But at the moment it feels like a PR optical move to show they are connecting to members outside of Orlando and Anaheim but is an offering that has missed its moment in history or can be duplicated by YouTube or other outlets. I think it would be much better to put D23 branded programming on Plus that anyone can access since there is a free membership level. ...Daniel says hey Stu!
